The feeling has reached a crisis point. You don’t want to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire, but you also can’t keep kicking the can down the road.

It’s time to give yourself an escape plan.

This is your life.

Ready to figure out what’s next?

Quiz Result:

It is probably time

to quit

your job!

Problem #1

You want to quit your job, but you have no idea where to even start.

You’ve been scouring the internet for jobs, but are so burnt out that looking for a new job is starting to feel like a job too.

The idea of writing a cover letter makes you want to bang your head against the wall.

You have read way too many job descriptions that include “fast-paced environment” or “competitive compensation” without any of the details you actually need in order to figure out if this is the right job for you.

Problem #2

You know you can’t just quit when you have bills to pay.

Every time you think, “I am so ready to quit this damn job” you remember that bills don’t pay themselves.

Leaving the security of your current job feels financially foolish, so you’ve got a constant inner battle going on between the part of you that is desperate to leave and the part of you that is terrified to leave.

You’ve been searching for different ways to make money so you can quit, wishing that you could just get paid for doing all the things you daydream about doing instead of being at work.

Problem #3

Changing your job could mean changing your whole life.

Quitting a job can have massive ripple effects across our lives.

Maybe you have coworkers you love, even if you’re sick of certain people or certain dynamics at work.

Maybe you are tired of the sector you work in, but you’re scared of starting over “from the beginning” in a different one.

Maybe you’re convinced every job is going to suck, but at least you know what to expect from the one you have.

So what do you do?

Find a new job?

Start a business?

Go back to school?

Escape to a cabin in the woods and make best friends with with squirrels?

It’s time to figure out what’s next. If you do nothing, you’ll get nothing different. But knowing you want to quit your job and actually quitting your job are two different things.

Hi! I’m Cecily Engelhart.

I'm a liberatory career coach* and consultant who helps people feeling burnt out or bored in their jobs reset their career pathways in order to do work that they feel passionate about without over sacrificing their time, energy, or health.

Since I was 13 years old, I’ve had a job (sometimes 2 or 3). In the couple of decades since then, I’ve shifted from being someone’s employee to running my own companies.

But just because that is my journey, does not mean I think it has to be yours too.

Instead, I think that if you’ve landed on this page, it is because you know that you also need some kind of shift in your career. Perhaps it’s a promotion. Perhaps it’s a new job. And perhaps it is starting a business.

And I know where to start to support you in figuring that out.

* What is liberatory career coaching?

I see what I do as creating a career that supports both your individual, and our collective, liberation from systems of oppression. Being able to occupy roles and hold responsibilities that make you feel in alignment with your purpose, abundant with the resources you need, and agility while navigating the systems we are in.

Our goals are to generate plenty of qualified leads, make more revenue and create a bigger impact from your business.

I love helping my clients find their most aligned, abundant purpose as they change the world.

I am a cis gender, able bodied woman of Ihanktonwan Dakota, Oglala Lakota, and European settler descent (including Irish, French, German, and English). I live the rural life on the Ihanktonwan Nation in South Dakota with my family in a 100+ year old house we are slowly (but surely) restoring.

When I'm not coaching people on the next stage of their careers, I can be found cooking with my family, playing games, watching movies, and (if the weather is right) swimming in the Missouri River.
